ESL job interview question: How do you handle a conflict situation that occurs in your workplace?

Recommended answer:

This question aims to find out whether you are able to handle a conflict that may occur in the school environment. A conflict can occur between teachers,  between  teachers and students,  between  students,  between parents and teachers, etc.

It would be good if you could give an example of a conflict and explain how you resolved it. You can mention that there are two types of conflict, substantive and personalized. Substantive conflicts can sometimes be even useful and help to solve problems in the workplace if handled properly. Personalized conflicts are usually destructive, hurt people and waste a lot of precious time in the workplace.

In addition, it would be good if you could mention what you learned from the conflict and how you would prevent a similar conflict in the future.
