ESL job interview question: Describe briefly yourself as an ESL teacher

Recommended answer:

Try not to answer this question by telling directly what you think about yourself but tell what others say about you, i.e. your colleagues' opinions.

For example:

My colleagues say that I am an enthusiastic English teacher who looks for opportunities to tie academic goals and standards to practical and memorable situations. In the classroom I apply communicative, task-based method of teaching and I believe that every student can learn successfully if he or she is motivated to learn.
